This site was created for Diabetics and families who care for and support children who have diabetes. 

Whether you are a diabetic yourself or the parent of a T1D, you need a community of support in order to navigate life with diabetes! I was 12 years old when I was first diagnosed with T1D, and I remember that the support I received was very helpful. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been diabetic for a week or decades, support and having a community of friends is invaluable. 

I am the mother of two handsome boys, a teacher in the city of brotherly love, and I have been a T1D myself for 21 years! I hope that you enjoy reading the stories that are featured on this site. I hope that they give you hope and inspire you and your child to fully THRIVE.
